Depending on your building
and extent of damage will identify what type of repair work needs
to be carried out.
Listed opposite are some of
the most common types of tasks we do. |

-
PATCH
POINTING
-
Most masonry
buildings only need a small amount of mortar repair to
deteriorated mortar joints. Joints requiring repair will
be chipped out and a matching new mortar will be
applied. When completed, the
masonry will have an even appearance and the patched
areas will not be overly noticeable.
-
COMPLETE REPOINTING
-
Where
a wall or an entire building must be Repointed our
repointing techniques will meet high standards. It
important to preserve the appearance of the building and
to insure that no irreparable damage occurs during
repointing or in the future. To provide an area for the
new mortar, old mortar will be cleaned and raked from
the joints. It is important to fully remove the old
mortar so that the new mortar can adhere to the sides of
the joint, not old crumbling mortar. New mortar joints
will match the original in composition, colour, size and
shape. It is important that the new mortar match
the original in porosity and compressive strength.
-
BRICK & STONE REPLACEMENT
-
If necessary. missing or
deteriorated brick or stones will be replaced with stone
or old bricks that match the original material closely.
